It’s time to create!

9am to 3pm monday - Friday

Let’s go back to when camp was uncomplicated and filled with natural and playful adventure! This camp provides your child the opportunity to explore new experiences and the flexibility to pursue their natural curiosities. 

Ivy Greene Academy Summer Camp is about your kids doing what kids love to do across both an urban and natural environment: water fights, fort building, legos, paper airplanes, cooking, art,  and so much more!

Fiber Arts

with Ms Aurre

Ages 6-10

From scarves to aprons to wall art, the possibilities are endless! Learn how to crochet, knit and sew with our resident fiber arts expert. Campers will come away with a completed project and the skills to create more “fiber art” all summer long!

Young Creators

inspired by The Tinkering School

Ages 7-10

It’s time to create! Inspired by the innovative Tinkering School, Young Creators “work with amazing collaborators, real tools, real materials, to make something HUGE. Kids have room to play, the support and freedom to fail, and the time required to solve deep and interesting problems.”

Spark Super Heroes Camp!

Ages 3-5

Available only for siblings enrolled in Fiber Arts or Young Creators camps. Discover your hidden superpowers and become a real-life Spark Super HERO! (Spark Campers must be potty/toilet trained!)

The Camp Program will take place in-person at Ivy Greene Academy, located at 355 Peoples Dr, Pontotoc, MS 38863. The Camp Program will run on May 30th, Monday through June 3rd, Friday, from 9:00am to 3:00pm. No drop-ins or daily rates are available.

Student’s participation in the Camp Program may include, but is not limited to, the following activities (“Activities”):

For each Ivy Greene Academy Camp Program, students will complete a tool safety training before using any tools. The tools used by Students may include, but are not limited to, the following: compound miter saw, jig saw, band saw, table saw, drill-press, drills, clamps, screwdrivers, hammers, rulers, pliers, wrenches, box cutters, wire cutters, scissors, and manual staple guns.

Students will use tools to build and later dismantle large interactive creations out of lumber and an assortment of hardware and other building materials that may include, but are not limited to, the following materials: screws, nails, nuts and bolts, hinges, pulleys, springs, tape, axles, wheels, wire, 2×3 boards, 2×4 boards, 4×4 boards, and plywood.

Woodworking and building projects made out of lumber and an assortment of hardware and other building materials such as wood, screws, nails, bolts, hinges, pulleys, springs, rope, bungee cord, tape, axles, wheels, wire, 2×3 boards, 2×4 boards, 4×4 boards, plywood, PVC pipe, and miscellaneous hardware.

  • Students will have the opportunity build a small wooden toolbox that they can take home at the conclusion of the session.
  • Throughout each session, students will use tools to build and later dismantle large interactive projects. Example camp projects include building wood cranes, trains, marionettes, gravity power cars, marble runs sized for bowling balls, and 20-foot long pirate ships.
